PORJECTS COMPLETEDD
As a result of the support and play in last year's Eagle's Challenge, three major projects were completed with the proceeds.

01
Tree Removal and Resodding of the 18th Hole
One of the most stunning finishing holes was brought back to its former glory. The contributions from last year's tournament funded the removal of multiple trees at the corner of the dogleg near the lake. The roots and stumps were removed and the entire area was resodded to improve the landing area as well as the aesthetics of the hole.

02
Tree Root Pruning
Have you ever wondered why there was so much hardpan encroaching on the fairways, greens and tee boxes? Well it was not a lack of grass seed! The culprit was tree roots competing with the grass for water and nutrients...and tree roots were winning!

To stop nature from destroying the course, the roots must be cut at the edge of the tree canopy regularly. The 2024 Eagles Challenge paid for a root pruning on all 18 holes for the first time in many years. This pruning helps preserve our grass areas, reduce damage to cart paths, and limit tripping hazards.

The root pruning entailed cutting two parallel strips 12-14 inches deep along the canopy of all the trees along the fairways, tee boxes and greens.

03
Tree Removal on 15th Hole
Over the last 50 years, large trees encroached the left side of the 15th hole impeding the hole's aesthetics, safety and playability. The Eagle's Challenge afforded our ability to safely remove those trees, opening the hole up to resemble more its original design.
